Opal's Beauty 2 is a little different from the usual Opal yarns, for it has a high quality Edelweiss extract and Vitamin E. This finish will withstand several washes. In 2019 Edelweiss was named the medicinal plant of the year in Austria. Pamper your hands during knitting with this innovative yarn and enjoy the smooth and super-soft comfort when wearing socks, caps, scarves or sweaters. Available in 6 self-striping shades, these beautiful yarns are sure to brighten up your day!
Our much-loved Opal Uni yarns will soon be available in 6ply! Opal Uni is not only perfect for when you want to knit solid colour socks, but is also ideal for knitting contrasting cuffs, heels and toes on your patterned socks. We will also have Opal Wasserwelten (Water World) 4ply yarn soon. We have such a large selection of sock yarns that will keep you busy over the New Zealand summer.
Scheepjes have released a brand new 100% recycled yarn. It’s called Terrazzo, and it is absolutely gorgeous. Terrazzo is made up of 70% Recycled Wool and 30% Recycled Viscose. There are 50g to each ball, with a yardage of 175m per ball. Being a DK weight yarn, the recommended hook/needle size is 4mm. It is available in 60 shades, ranging from muted to bright and cheerful.

If you're a fan of the Icelandi Lopi yarn, you'll be pleased to know that we will have more Plötulopi colours in stock. Lopi Plötulopi is a light and lofty unspun Icelandic wool yarn. Though this unspun yarn feels fragile while you work, it creates warm, sturdy garments and felts fabulously.weater that is both sturdy and soft.
